Situated at the north end of Mission Beach, the Sand Dollar was designed as a site specific multifunctional single-family residence. The 428 sf. original 1927 beach cottage was reimagined to include three full floors, ground floor and rooftop outdoor decks, and creates a sense of place focusing on direct connections to the outdoors.

The Sand Dollar was built for coastal living. Ownership was passionate about creating spaces that promoted privacy in an otherwise bustling urban setting, while not losing sight of all Mission beach has to offer. The minimalist finish palette was painstakingly curated with longevity and durability in mind including white oak hardwood flooring, Brazilian teak decking, Kynar finished aluminum, smooth white stucco, and marble countertops.
